Lemon Merengue Finish?

Has anyone heard of a lemon merengue wood finish? I read it in an article about finishing gun stocks in National Rifleman a few years ago. I remember that it was a nice finish to use on light-colored woods and it was called lemon merengue because it included the use of eggs and lemon, among other things.
