I can't believe that this is taken it good humour! I am new so I can be faulted for not paying attention to the posting name close enough but what kind of crap is this? Is this how things are run on this forum? Whether or not I got a knife makes no difference in the way it seems that posers try to screw others. This makes no sense to me except that those who are in the know (or hooked up by the good ole boy network) are the ones who know what is going on. If you don't like what I have to say I am sorry but this seems a bit wrong to try and trick/screw someone else so you can hook yourself up. I guess that is the American way and I am just a bit too naive.

Hey charger02, cool off man. There is no insider good ol' boy network that let's any of us in ahead of any one else. These things are run by the book according to timestamp. None of us know if we got in until things are counted up and the confirmation emails go out. I got mine out within a minute of Skunk's post, but do you know how many emails can slam you out of contention within a minute? I do, I have missed out on a few because more emails came in before mine. As for the poser posts tricking folks, that has been going on as long as i can remember and I have been collecting for three years now. Jerry and Mike (ThatMguy) both posted this morning and last night about watching out for the poser types. It is tricky, but it all done in good fun, if collecting in't fun then it isn't worth doing. No one was trying to screw any one out of getting a chance at any of these knives. I hope you get which ever one you wanted, but if not, I am sure some will be available on the secondary market as soon as some folks get them. They might get them in hand and decide they don't like them and they move them on down the line for some other lucky guy to get.
 
I've been collecting Busse's for a year now and I fall for this every time even though I know it is going to happen. Did the same tonight again. :o It's all in good fun, and there are no mean intentions involved. :)
 
Hey Bro, I am not trying to start something here. All I am saying is that for those such as myself who are not familiar with how things work I am not a fan of people trying to trick others so they can get themselves ahead. That is not how I do business (online or in life) nor do I care for it by others. This is the way stuff is run...like I said shame on me for not paying better attention. If I miss out I miss out, no harm in that. For those of us not familiar with how things are run, even with previous posts (I still was unsure of how the "Go" button worked) it was easy to be misdirected. I have learned and my lesson. So be it.

If this would have happened a couple months ago, I would be in the same delima as you. But I hung in and learned that the hogs are a bit different. But it is a huge amount of fun.

To get the full effect, jump between the Swamp Rat board and this one. It is a riot sometimes.

So, just hang in and decide if you want a straight tail or a curly one. It has taken me a while now to snag just 4 SR knives and now working on a couple of Busse. Takes a little work.

well, it DOES seem a trifle sketchy for folx to cause others to blow their wads early - it might free up a few knives for the true HOGS to complete their order for 49 knives ;) funz fun, but biz is biz... :}

so, the true way to get your knife... hire a software consultant (like me!) and i'll craft a special script for YOU, that will look for the one true post from the one true pusher of the go button, and send you mail within 24 hours that you should push "send" on your mail :) cost for the script? mmm. i'm thinking a battle mistress, in advance. *grin*

in reality, i'm guessing more than a few hogs have about 29 mail windows open (just a guess), and have about 19 different BF handles, and are prepared to buy as many as possible, in order to get one, naturally, selling the extras, if any, after looking for blems, in the buy/sell/trade later - at or below cost, naturally. :]

Charger, this is actually one of the friendliest groups of people you will ever meet. On the surface it appears that we fight, but if you are really confused about something all you got to do is email one of the HOGs that have been around and they will tell you the truth via email and how it is all just a game. All of us in here new which ones were the ruses because everyone had been warned. Don't get wound up about it, trust me, there will be many on the sale forum as soon as they come out because people either bought to many or regret buying the one they did. I myself only asked for one, so if I get it great, if not, no big deal,there are plenty more knives to be had.
