The game is called "have you ever", and the rules are simple I ask a question and you reply as honestly as you can, the winner gets a double thumb up reply post!

Now, I know what you are thinking, but this isn't a contest, I just figured people would come in with a better attitude toward a 4:30 am thread if it looked like I had something to give away (which I really should start looking at, just gotta find something).

On to the game, First (and probably only) question: Have you ever broken a grivory handle by over tightening it?

Pics came:

No I have not. Did I win yet?

I should have mentioned, winners will be chosen based on the number of cracked/broken scales (due to tightening by hand only, no dropping, burning, melting via acid or other liquid abrasive, or using a compressed air ratchet. Or a gas powered ratchet. Or running them over/hitting them with something. etc.) and their honesty about such events.

Not yet.

MKK is single handedly trying to deplete the world supply of grivory scales so Kabar will have no choice but to micarta everything. That or he has a kung fu grip. :D

my bk2 (only one with grivory) breaks everything it touches, not the other way around. :D

So far MKK is in the lead, can anyone top him?

I had heard of someone always breaking grivory scales back in February, but I couldn't remember who. I think I'll let this run until I get another set, see how many people will break their stock handles with nothing but an allen wrench, the screws that came with the knife, and the knife itself in that time frame.

I don't know how many people will break their grivory just for a double thumps up reply post haha. BTW I think someone also cracked their BK-14 zytel scales from over-tightening.

I doubt they cracked a solid zytel scale by tightening it, but I think someone did blow out the shelf that holds the scale where it belongs, I almost did that with my 16s zytel.

Ok, since I'm about ready to start a real contest, and no one other than MKK has taken this contest seriously..... I declare MKK the winner of this contest!!!:thumbup: And for being such a good sport:

P.S. The real contest will not happen until I reach 999 posts, and have a suitable box to ship with.
