Well at long last after much bugging and persuasion Uncle Bill has said at least a "Maybe" to making the Khanjarlis once again!!!!!!!

I wasn't around the 1st time, but from conversations I understand that these things were a real pain in the posterior to make and after all that then they didn't sell to well. I don't understand that except that perhaps the handles were not comfortable to our western hands?
We have to come to a couple of decisions here.....
........
1 - We have to agree on one style Khanjarlis.
2 - We have to decide what kind of handle we want.
Uncle Bill asked in the other thread if we wanted to keep the original handles or do something different.
1 - My choice of Khanjarlis is the bottom one with the beautiful slightly recurved blade with the wonderful little fullers. Sexy as Hell!!!!
2 - I vote for a different handle but I would like to keep the "D" guard!!!!
I like the existing handle shape on the bottom Khanjarlis, but would like to see the disk pommel removed and the steel part of the hilt, where it's held, replaced with either wood or bufalo horn.
And I think maybe, just maybe, we would be able to have a choice on either wood or horn, Uncle Bill????
(We could/can leave that choice to Uncle Bill..???...)
I would prefer wood in case I wanted to modify the handle a bit.
Wood would also be the better choice if one wanted to wrap the handle with leather or twisted wire or both as many of the old, old knives were.
I could get really, really excited over these, but I'm controlling myself until the reality is in sight!!!!!!! Yea, Right!!!!
Opinions? Comments?
