im sure that everyone has heard of the proverb:
"let sleeping dogs lay..."

well i have one for the knife minded.. :
"let falling knives drop..."

all was going well for a day in my workshop .. until i dropped the machete i was working on .. and instead of doing the smart thing and let it drop .. i was fool enough to try to catch the bugger.
and the tip went right into my finger .. with the weight driving it home. now that tickles.

i didnt know fingers held so much blood.

and another thing .. try this when you next stab yourself in the hand .... hold your hand up .. blood stops running .. now become confident that the bleeding has stopped and continue to work ... your blood will now once again flow freely!
its a kind of magic im sure.

A real knifemaker would have caught it with his foot!:D  :p

OH...save the blood. With a dash of dish liquid it makes a great quench!!!!

OK, since this has been covered in another thread, I have the answer on how to react in this situation, courtesy RWCLARK.
"You will more than likely pass out. Try not to."

This is why I always have a roll of masking tape handy. It works great for stopping the blood flow and keeps the wound closed till you're ready to call it a day.

please .. stop .. your sympathy is killing me.
:D

but i would have to agree with good ol' masking tape when worse comes to worse.
good for loads of situations ..
hmm .. i wonder if it'll help hold my grinder together
;)
