Linerlock question

Im working on my first linerlock and i have a question.
The hole in the blade for the pivotpin, how much bigger than the pivot should this be to get a good action.im not using any bushings.

allso i have heard someone using two detentballs. how and why?

I use a 3/16 inch reamer so that the hole is round and I use 3/16 inch stainless rod to make my piviot pin with.
 
One of the major problems with liner locks is that the lock slips or wedges. A tight pivot makes a lot of these problems go away along with a for lock fit. I would say no more than .0005 slop.
