I certainly would want to avoid the guy if he was on the forum. That's a new level of scumbag. Glad you caught it.
 
yeah that definitely sucks. i say you post all his info so everyone knows not to deal with this piece of shit

That is pretty low. Do you know if he's a member of BF? If so, please post his name as a warning for others.

That stinks Andy but if I were you I would make him known to everyone.
I also was scammed by a "soldier". I was told he wanted a knife I had and offered to give me a Hinderer Ti pen and $300. He was supposedly in the sand box and kept telling me the pen was on the way and I should get it any day. He was trying to lube me pup and make me feel comfortable enough with him to go ahead and send the knife.
The more I thought about it the more I backed away. Long story short I didn't end the knife and ironically the pen still hasn't arrived 2 years latter.
THEY ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!!
These people are very cleaver and have no decency whatsoever.

I don't know if he is at Bladeforums, or what his username is. I will disclose privately his name and 411 to anyone else that faced the same scam. Part of the leverage I used to get my property back was that I would spare him the embarassment as long as I didn't hear of further scams. I've given my word. Its really more about that than anything else.

well that makes sense then. i am glad you got your knife back and lets hope this is enough to deter him from trying any future scams
