I was reading the custom machete thread and remembered this add...I saw it about 1 - 2 years ago in one of the knife mags...micarta handles...and I don't know what else. Since then I've given all the mags away attempting to convert my fellow three dollar knifeaholics.

l do remember the "Live Buy the Sword" slogan though - great advertisers.

Anyways, Did anyone ever buy the damn thing or what? How well does it perform and who made it?

PS Cobalt, I don't think it was chromed.
 
The ad was for a Busse "American Kensei". It is their short sword with a 15 1/2" blade and ground from A2 steel. Their is an ad for the sword and a review in the Jan '97 issue of Tactical Knives. The ad list the price at $487 with paracord handles and $587 with micarta slabs. I too found the sword intriguing but never got around to ordering it.
