I want to buy a neck knife from Newt Livesay but I would rather carry it on my belt. Then I saw that the Executive Woo hade a sheath with a belt clip on it but I wanted either a Woo or G-45 not an executive Woo. Does Anyone know if I can get a belt clip on a Woo or G-45 sheath?

Livesay's quite a nice guy. E-mail him nicely, and he will probably accomadate you

i'm impressed with your work,Chiro but Newt told me that he sells that pocket clip attachment separatly for $4.00

Sounds like that's the way to go, then, unless you are unhappy with the entire sheath...it's tough to beat a $4 upgrade! I have one of Newt's Titanium Tiger neck knves on the way and can't wait to check it out. REAL tough to beat that for $22!

Hey, do you guys know if Newt re-coats knives for you? If any of you read my review of the G-45, I said I took the coating off b/c when I radiused all the edges,I scratched a good deal of it off, so, I just went all the way w/ it. Now, however, I'd like to put it back on. Anyway, I like the thing and also have a couple of Ti Tigers from Newt on the way. Chiro's right, you can't beat that at $22.

Actually, with titanium going for, say, $30 a pound, and Newt Livesay's Titanium Tiger only weighing 2 ounces, the materials used for the knife should only cost approxamitely $4.

But then there is the sheath, say, another $5, max.

And the paracord, say, $1 max.

Figure in 10 minutes to make the knife, at about $30 an hour...and that's another $5.

Add 'em all up, and you get appx. $15.

Hey, what'a'ya know!? That is a good price for the Titanium Tiger, especially if you factor in tooling wear, heat treatment, and overhead.

Hey! You are right, we should only be paying $15!

STIFF KISS? I think I'm past that stage in my appreciation of neck knives.

I think it happened around the time I received my REKAT Fang. Then there was the G-45, then my Philippine Box Cutter, and now, these Ti Tigers. Maybe an Emerson La Griffe is next? At least I'm not paying $200 or $300 for a Ti version of a Crawford neck knife or an Emerson La Griffe, respectively.

Well if Titanium is $x per pound, so is steel, therefore, steel knives ought to be....

The flaw there is the estimate of ten minutes to make a knife. Sheesh -- I am notorious for saying I'll be able to do a job in ten minutes and taking five hours for it, but even I never claimed I could make a knife in ten minutes.

You'd be doing pretty good to make 8 2-ounce knives out of a pound of titanium, too. You wouldn't have to sweep the floor at the end of the day so that would save some time....
