Saw a Livesay Recon Combat Machete on his web page, and the price looked very attractive for a differentially tempered, good-sized blade, though the handle didn't look too comfortable. Does anyone have any experiences with these?

On his home page there is a link to Jeff Randall's jungle page and it chronicle's his experience with the blade.

If you can get ahold of the july 1988 issue of Tactical knives, there is ann article on Livesay and his knives. The writer Jerry Vancook spoke very highly of his knives. I am thinking about picking up one of his air assault knives. His neck knives are super cheap and are well made for the extremely low price($25-40). I hope this helps.
