Lock Tension

Ok, I woke up this morning, and I decided to play around for a few minutes with my 943. Usually, when I close the 943, I can just release the lock and the blade will drop to at least 90 degrees relative to the handle. However, this time, it didn't drop at all! In fact, it felt a good deal more difficult to open. Not unsmooth, just a bit tighter. I oiled it, and it got slightly better, but not yet to the level where it used to be. Any idea what might be going on? Is behavior like this normal?

You may have possibly gotten some pocket lint or other trash up inside the pivot. A good and thorough cleaning with some very hot water, followed by a good drying with either a hairdryer or some compressed air (I use the canned stuff) and finally lubricate the pivot area again, remembering to use the lube sparaingly as too much tends to attract dust and lint, and it should be back to original condition.
