I finally was able to pick one of these up and I LOVE it. However, the clip is incredibly tight, and the scale material is very grippy. This makes for a difficult combination for getting the knife out of my pocket. I've tried to pull the clip to bend it a tad, but I'm worried about going to far. Should I just pull until it starts to bend?

Have you ever made a clip for this knife? Or do you by chance have this knife? The knife rides fine, but I wouldn't mind a lowride clip.

I read the clip info you stickied, so I know the process, but I just wanted to check with you before I filled out the form.

I have this one here from Lone Wolf which is the D2 Harsey DA that I made my own clip for in tip up carry.

I also have the DiabloDA here which I also modified to my liking.

These are the only two that I've seen or handled. I did note the grippy texture of the body. The Diablo looks the same in the pics but its actually quite slick by comparison. The clip on the folder you have is heat treated stainless. Its liable to break on you if you tweak it too much. Without knowing the type of stainless, or the Rockwell hardness its a tough call. My guess is it would snap before bending but I could be wrong. You would need to heat it with a torch or stove top gas stove to bend it and then re bead blast it. It would be easier to just make a new clip for it.

If mine is the same knife I can use my clip and my knife to do just that for you and ship the clip out to you first class, probably by tomorrow afternoon but it may not be until the next morning. It depends. I promised the wife that I'd help her to trim up all the plants growing around our house because we are getting ready to have a new roof installed and new siding done. So I expect to be done with that sometime tomorrow but again, its up to the boss if you catch my drift. ;)
