Thanks again STR for your amazing work! If any of you have been on the edge of getting one of these (it took me a year at least) you have GOT to get one now! I find myself only carying these knives now!!!

Oh, and these clips are interchangeable between the shallot, leek, blur, and now drilled JYD. How awesome is that?! :D

That looks pretty weighted down there my friend. :D

Seriously, thanks for the pics.

Hi knivesandguns -

Nice !!

I did not know you could use the same clip on multiple Kershaws!

I really like the one STR clip I have, and I have planned on ordering at least a couple more from him.

I would have loved to have one for a Leek - but I just gave my last Leek away. I'll have to pick up another one soon.

Thanks for the pictures.

best regards -

Actually what he did was buy a Leek clip for the Leek and I simply tapped the JYDII he owns for the same clip. It could just as easily have been a Military, or Para Military by Spyderco tapped to fit the Leek clip pattern. Then he could technically buy a clip for his Leek and swap it out as he wanted or use one clip on multiple knives.

I think Kershaw uses the Leek clip on the Shallot, and the Blur and perhaps at least one other model in their line up.

The BenchMade Mini and full size Griptilian knives use the same pattern Spyderco invented in the early 80's in that three hole clip. You see that clip on millions of knives all over the world. I think even a lot of China made and Taiwan made knives are using that pattern, custom makers are, Kershaw, Benchmade, Spyderco, Emerson and more. The pattern is all over. It was the first clip, is the oldest to my knowledge and the one I do the most of for folks. The most frequent requested model is the Para Military. I expect with the advent of the Para Military II that this will change but time will tell. I've had people buy one clip to use back and forth with two Para models, and a Para and a Military model since they use the same clip and I had one customer years ago buy one clip to use on his Impala, his Military, and his Para Military since they all use that clip.
