I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but isn't that the same knife as the previous post.

Yes thats the same knife. That previous post was just a mistake.

Interesting. I wish I would have picked up some blades on my 3 weeks in Russia when I was in HS. Sadly I was not a "knut" at the time ans onle bought a cheap generic stilletto and OTF "pen" autos.

I have seen pictures of this knife before. I do not care for the lines. It looks clunky and uncomfortable to hold.

It is manufactured at Moscow by NOKS company after Igor Skryliow design. I had an opportunity to take a close look at all Osa (Wasp) series knives when I have visited Moscow Knife Show in November’2001 and additionally at IWA’2002 (Nuremberg, Germany, March’2002).

My honest advice would be – take care of your safety and don’t trust this knife locking device. The ones I have played with had pretty mean lockup. I have managed to cause lock failure on single-bladed Osa just hitting my palm with blade spine!

In fact I can’t realize what advantages has such odd construction – folder strength in fixed blade dimensions... My Leatherman Super Tool, SOG PowerLock or Spyderench multi-tools have much more futures and capabilities in closely comparable price, weight and dimensions.

Don’t hesitate to call me privately if you need more info (Polish language accepted ;) ).

A few weeks ago I handled one and was surprised by its quality (I am serious here). I read Sergiusz´s post about two two months ago about their quality and thought they would be total POS. But I was pleasantly surprised. They are not high-tech but they are not that bad either - at least the one I had in my hand. Maybe the owner was just lucky and got good piece (and the rest are junk) but the lock was secure and the knife would not close accidentaly. Maybe they have already learned from their mistakes?? Anyway, I think it is an interesting knife - something you do not see every day....
