In my continuing quest to see most of the world's khukuries I have had to resort to trading to keep the mass down and the South Florida water table stable. Some of you have written to ask about the stuff in my swap box and I think I may have found a cool way to get the information across to you. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test it since the system will send links to anyone but the originator. :grumpy:

I am looking for a few volunteers to try this out. If it works you should be receiving an email with a link to a photo album of current stuff. If you are interested just drop me a note and I'll add you to the list.

...so, what happens to gun collectors happens to you knife collectors too? Glad to see it. The greatest collections of arms are those that could have been; if you didn't have to trade or sell to get something else.

I've gotten the listm but am not faliliar with all make and model designators. I think being able to see the pics would be realy cool.

The best collection is the experience you gain by playing with a large number of knives (guns, whatever). Few people have the luxury of having that much space or funding, and even if you do, the maintenance alone can become a problem. Then you have to consider the urge to focus, to delve more deeply into a specific area of interest. A few pieces are always falling off the periphery and no longer seem to fit in.

It is pointless to keep them all and trading is a nice way to deal with all these issues, and a good way to handle the inevitable duplicates that always creep into collections. I have been trying to discipline myself to trade off a few every month, as the collection continues to grow and shift and focus towards whatever end only time will tell.

I'd like to see what in the box too!!! You don't take crumb-snatchers & rug-rats on trade, do you?

AOL's "You've Got Pictures" worked also, but I had the volume turned down and didn't hear the announcement the first time I logged on.:o

I am curious; How does the AOL work? Did you actually get a system memo or did you just run a search on You've Got Pictures?
