Looking for HOOF PICK knife

I'm looking for a hoof pick knife for my wife, who's an avid rider. I've seen these before... they basically replace a blade with a hoof pick-like implement.

Only one I've found so far is this:

Seems kinda spendy for a brand I've never heard of. What the heck is A.G. Russell?

Any tips for me?

Yeah. Buy that one. "Who the heck is AG Russell?" isn't a question that gets asked a lot -- he'll treat you right, and if he'll put his name on the knife, it's worth buying.

If you don't want to spend that much, though, I think that Victorinox makes one.

AG Russell is well known and respected in the knife community, I´ve never heard anything but good things about him or his products. He has been a long time in the bussiness, I´m sure that this knife is top quality.

it is real cheap and the hoof blade is not very long.

i didnt see any at budk's website http://www.budkww.com/ but i thought i saw one in their paper catalog they sent me, i will try to see if i can find it later.

My wife loves her Gerber Trailrider. Now half the people she rides with have them too.

The Victorinox WorkChamp XL also includes a hoof pick, but it isn't available in the US and it's kind of bulky...
