Looking for tomahawk....

I know I was looking for a hatchet...but those are too small.

I want it to have a wooden handle, leather sheath. I want nothing at all on the back. I want the handle to be a more dark wood, not something bright. It HAS to be made in the USA.

I'd rather not have a coating, but if there is, that's ok.

I've always like the look of the Condor Spiked Axe. I handled it once at SMKW, but didn't buy it since I was buying a bunch of knives. It was VERY light and the only thing I didn't care for was the coating on the handle.

I'd look in hall of shame before I ordered anything from greatkinvesgreatprices.com! (Based on such consistently negative feedback and the owners behavior I avoid them like the plague.) The Condor spike isn't made in the US, is cast rather than forged, and isn't a traditional hawk design. H&B or Fort Turner are great traditional forged hawks made in the good ol' USA. You should be able to stain any haft to your liking if it's too light out of the box.

The Fort Turner tomahawks look like they are priced very reasonably as well. The trapper looks like it would be a nice tomahawk for camping/hiking.
