I'm looking for a tip-down folder with opening hole, full-serrated to carry IWB on my left side. Preferably something quite stain resistant since it'll be so close to my body. Also, something with a comfortable profile and surface texture so there's nothing sticking in my side or abrading my skin like G10 would or one of the spyderco's with the pointy shoulder above the hole.

I once carried a mini AFCK that way and the satin ATS-34 started to rust in no time and the G10 was a little abrasive on me.

I'm leaning toward something like the SC Police, but it's rather big and may be uncomfortable there since I'm a pretty short guy. Also, I think there is a Zytel BM - the Ascent I think that might fit the bill. Can you think of any others before I decide?

I assume the off-side knife is for self defense.

Knives for self defense are really dependent on the evironment you live in, your level of training, and personal preference.

I like the Spyderco Civilian for weak-side carry. It is easily opened using my weak hand and since it was designed for folks with little knife experience that fits the description of my weak side very well.:)

My Civilian is G-10 but I find it quite comfortable for inside waistband carry. Maybe a Spyderhawk or Matriarch would fit you better.

Strong side? I carry a CUDA Maxx bowie also inside waistband.

Both of these knives are thin and carry extremely well inside your waistband.

I hate Carbon Fiber. I think it looks like cheap plastic.

Weak side for a couple of reasons. Sure, for defensive if my right hand is occupied, but also ANYTIME I want to grab a knife with my left hand and I figured it would be a good place to stash a fully-serrated knife for the occasions when I want one. It also has to do work, so the Civil/Matr shape doesn't really turn me on for that.

I'm currently looking at Enduras and Delicas on Ebay. Maybe stainless. Still open to suggestions.
By the way, I don't care if the clip is ambi or not.

I carried my tufram cricket IWB/left for a while... I'd assume the SS/VG-10 thats just out would work pretty well... all depends on if you can do liner locks left handed.
