Hello there,

I have noticed on my new Wegner Jr a loose and a play on the axis.
Just a bit but you feel it whil moving the blade once open.

Is that normal on a fast and easy opener like the wegner or should I ajust the tension of the screw.

BTW that kind of torx is impossible to find in France.
(Metrics?)

I have also noticed the liner is touching the other side (G-10) when the blade is open.

Can I fix it myself or should I send it back ?

Cheers,
JM

Ca va, Nemo? First off, you made an excellent choice of the Wegner, Jr. I' ve several of the large ones and they are my favorite liner lock folders. The pivot screw is NOT tension adjustable and they cannot be disassembled by the user since rivets are used to hold the knife together. I know you' re a long ways away from Golden, Co. but it is best to send it back for warantee work.

Hello Nakano,

thank you for the nice advice.
Finally I have ruined my guarranty and ask Fred Perrin to work on the washer of the pivot screw.
Then we have remove the buffer (silicon, plastic... I don't know).

Know there is no more play and the Wegner is almost as smooth as before. I prefere to have no lateral play and a little stiffer...

What a GREAT little knife !!!!

Cheers,
JM

Nemo - my apologies. Please tell Fred "I owe him one". Will he be at Milipol?

Sal,

Fred will be at the Milpol with a vest armor company.

For the Wegner, were the little silicon ring so important or only for easy opening ?

Cheers,

JM

Nemo - the washers make for smoother action. We're considering the Milipol Show for Spyderco products. Do you have any experience with the Show? Would you recommend it for Spyderco?
