I'm learning to throw and the only space I have is my back yard which is mostly a hillside covered in ivy. Well, I was using a cheap (thank goodness!) 14 inch thrower working on 1-spin throws and it bounced off the target and into the mass of ivy. I spent about 5 minutes looking for it and gave up; it was lightly raining and getting dark. Maybe one of a thrower's first investments should be a metal detector! :o

I hate losing throwers! Many times they'll slide under leaves or grass and it's almost impossible to find them. My parents found one of my throwers under some plants behind a half dead tree that I used to throw at. It had been there for six years!

thats too bad. just a suggestion, try hitting the area with a rake. its worked for me many times.

A rake is a good idea.

If the knife is stainless (not coated), it will shine under the light of a flashlight. Go out there at night with a flashlight, and look for a little reflection (try changing your eye angle by squatting down low).

After you find it, buy some reflective tape and stick a piece on the knife. It will light right up next time.

I added some glow in the dark paint to the handle of my CS throwers, I never have a problem finding them when it gets dark, looks cool when you practice at night too :)
