In the 1980's I purchases a Buck set of two knives in a double knife leather sheath for hunting field dressing. One of the knives is the skinner they still make but I don't recall the number or name of the second knife--it had about a 4-5 inch blade and was fairly thin. Both were black handled and razor sharp. Worked like magic on deer.

Anyway I moved recently and can't find my set. I see Buck still offers the skinner but not the set. Could someone on the forum help me identify this set and the knives in it so I could try to find a replacement. If you have never used this set it is excellent.

Thank you in advance

Kendell

There is/was one posted in the "Buck Knife For Sale Forum" at the top of the this forum but the thread is locked now so I don't know if it's still available or not? You could try the Want To Buy Forum or the big online auction company.

Kendell, Welcome to the Buck forum... Well it could be a 104 Twinset it came with a 102 (4"blade) Woodman and a 103 Skinner or a 115 Sportman's Set and it came with a 118 (4 1/2"Blade) Personal and a 103 Skinner... There was a Trophy Set too with a 116 (3 1/2"blade) Caper and the 103 skinner... You can find them on the bay... ITE

Thank you everyone for responding. I just returned from my storage unit and found the set (103 skinner and 118) in a mismarked storage tub. I am a happy guy now as there are a lot of huntingmemories attached to these. By the way this is a great set with a great sheath. The knives are light, well balanced and razor sharp. I hope all of you hunters have an opportunity to use a set.

Thanks agaim everyone.

Kendell
