Personally, I will use a computer-air-cleaner-thingy (compressed air) to blow the debris out of my assorted folders' pivot areas, and then use a couple drops of TuffGlide on each side. The key to this is, in my opinion, working the blade open and closed (while holding the lock in the open position) several times to really make sure it's covered. Then I open the knife (in locked position) and 'snap cut' the air a few times to get residual lube out (usually runs down the blade).Wipe off the excess, and you're good to go! For carbon steel, RemOil is fantastic, but TuffGlide seems to attract less dust and debris on a folder (probably because it isn't really an oil and dries, yet still provides the lubricity you desire). After all, RemOil is an 'oil'; it never really dries and shlt sticks to it, whereas TuffGlide is...well, I don't recall at this moment, but it dries. Regardless, I use both, depending on the circumstance.
