Hello Spydie lovers out there! I was seeing if any of you guys more knowledgable about Spydercos than I am could help me w/a couple of questions I had & maybe post a couple of pics!

First, is the Lum Tanto folder w/the Ti handle available w/a black blade or do you have to get it with the regular satin finish?

Second, I was wondering what all kinds of Damascus Spydercos have been made through the years and if anybody had any pics they could post of any of them. I did a search on here but it keeps telling me that the page couldnt be found or something like that. I know they had the 25th Ann. Delica which is great, but I'd really like to have a damascus bladed one!! Thanks!

As far as I know, the Lum Tanto folders where made in three flavors. Titanium handle and satin finish blades was the "original recipe". Later it was made with G10 handles with both satin finish and black coated blades. To the best of my knowledge, there is no "Black Ti" version.

To date, the only production Spyderco with a damascus steel blade is a Worker, which was one half of a two Worker set called the "Evolution Set". The damascus for the blades was made by Tim Zowada. Unlike most Workers that knife used the ProVenator style handle with the Kraton inlay on one side. They were never sold separately, just as part of the set. The other half of the set was a re-issue of the earliest version of the Worker, with a 2 screw clip and no bevel on the outer edges of the handle slabs. The Evolution Sets were made around 1994, had an MSRP of $495 at the time, and generally fetch around that on the rare occasions you see one for sale.

You can find pictures of both the 25th Ann. Delica and the damascus Worker here.
