Have a push dagger with "LUTES" inscribed on blade. Wood handle with what appears to be turquois inlay. "LUTES" also inscribed on leather sheath. Can not find any info on knife or maker. Anybody have any info on either?

Don't know anything about this maker, but was able to get this information. It could be old.

I'm not even sure if this is the maker of your knife, but it is the only Lutes that I could find.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you nailed it Keith.., and the knife would probably be fairly old....

Haven't seen any around in a while...

:) My father-n-law is Robert (Ben) Lutes,,he passed in 1998..so yes, any knives that you own w/Lutes ingraved in them would be fairly old. I would love to see a pic of your knife if possible....am trying to find others that have his knives..just to see some of his work..We've got a beautiful collection of dad's knives that will someday be sold....
thanks guys...Kellie

Kellie,

I am very interested in Lutes knives. I have a couple that I purchased from him at Amish Acres years ago. I am originally from Mishawaka and I know a guy there who has some also. I am interested in buying more of them. Is that something you can help me with? Let me know. Thanks, Nate

do you have a big collection of his knives? All of his equipment,etc..was sold after he passed away..sad really...

hubby has quite a large collection of his dad's knives,,not quite sure he wants to part with them just yet..I can ask him tomorrow...
How do you know the value of a knife?

I have what I believe is a knife made by your your father-in-law.
I acquired this from a friend who has since passed away and I'm attempting to find some information on this knife.
It is a massive, solid, work of art.
Can you verify if it is one of his creations?
Blade and sheath are simply marked "Lutes".

My deceased husband has several knives that your father-in-law made many years ago. He has one that Bob made 2 of. One I believe for your huband or another family member. It has 3 blades, razor sharp. Would your husband be interested in buying it?

Could you show me a picture of it please?
