Lynn Dawson the neice of Barry Dawson sent me these pics of her 1st sword that she has just made

"I have also just finished my first sword!
It took some time but I finally got up the gumption to try and do one, and I
don't mind saying I'm pretty pleased with it. It's a short sword of course,
I wanted to start off small to begin with. It's a 15" blade with a little
over a 6" handle. I used black linen Micarta for the handle, with a Japanese
interlocking wrap over a part of it."

Wish my first sword looked that good (well, it aint done yet, but so far, its not great looking. )

Very nice... I really like the look of this piece.

Very nice to see more females grinding out wicked blades like this as well.

Thats a very nice piece, especially for a first. Only thing I would change is the shape of the guards. Still, an excellent piece.
