Hi all,
I just wanted to give praise for the M-3 glock light from Streamlight/Insight Tech, it is awesome!!!. My dept. allowed me to order the Safariland 6285 SLS belt holster that allows for the light to stay on when holstered, with my uniform allowence this year. I can't wait till the Holster comes so I can carry it on my Glock 22, and not in my pocket anymore. This is a great little light. I'm looking into shotgun mount so I can slide it onto my 870 when I use it at night as well. Thanks for checking out my post, Reagan

Oh, and if anyone else is trying to find a standard (non-thigh rig) duty holster that will allow the M-3 light to stay on the Glock, then the model number is: (belt drop/jacket slot)6285-832-131 (Glock17/22), 6285-2832-131 (Glock 19/23). If you like mid ride then I think its the same numbers, but 6280 instead of 6285. I'm posting this holster info, due to how difficult it was for me to find. I figured some of you might have a hard time finding it as well.

Reagan,

I am not a police officer, nor do I play one on t.v. :) But I am always happy to hear of an officer getting good gear or training that makes their job all that much better. Tt is nice to have a supportive department like that too!

Enjoy your light. I'll be ordering an M2 from Surefire, my first high quality light, in a month or 2. Can't wait!

I have an M3 also, and it works great. I would like to find a Tact thigh holster that the Glock and M3 will fit. I forgot my flashlight one morning when I was about to go into my Duck hole. I pulled the M3 from my Glock, and it worked perfect. Although, I was worried about dropping it in the almost chest deep water while putting out decoys.

RattlerXX, Safariland makes the same holster that I ordered in a thigh rig holster. I think its the SLS 6004 (I have seen these for some good prices in the past). I think several other companies make one to, but I can only use Safariland due to departmental restrictions, so those are the ones I know most about.

I tried to get my dept. to allow me to get this holster with my allowance last year, but was turned down. I was told that everyone might want one (I thought that was a good thing:confused:. I guess the squeaky hing gets the holster.
