I apologize if this is to far off topic to be posted here, Mods I'll understand if this needs to be moved.:o In order to keep it even remotely relevant, I'll say that it is directly related to the MOLLE back I made for my ESEE3, and posted about here:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=810551

As a Christmas gift I received a Silky folding saw, and extra blade from my mother in law. While I've never felt a need for a saw in the woods before, I was quite impressed that she, being rather un-woodsy, would get me one of these.

I like the saw, but felt it rather large to be taking up room in my pack.
So, I decided to make up a MOLLE pouch out of some left over material I used to make the back for me ESEE3.

Long story short, here is the results....

Complete with sleeve for extra blade.

Maybe not pretty, but it is functional, and I like the way it came out. It may make the difference on whether I carry the saw or not.
Thanks for looking.

Nice work. Very relevant post for our forum.

I think it looks great - you did an excellent job. At first glance, I would have thought it was store-bought.

Thanks for the comments guys, and glad to hear it is seen as relevant for this forum.
This is a great place to hang out, and lots of seemingly like minded people.
I couldn't think a a better place to post this.

Well done man. You've done a great job on this and your Molle Back! I wish I had the proper tools to really get into soft goods. Anywho, keep up the good work!

God bless,
Adam

Details please. What kind of machine did you use to sew. Needle type, thread, snap install tool, nylon...etc. That is a very excellent piece.

YES!! That is a very functional pocket. I have seen very similar ones in third world militaries for spare magazines. Some are even side by side pouches like that but yours is nice. Keep doing it. What material did you make it from? Weight material? nylon thread? Mike

It looks professionally done. Where did you get the material? Did you use a sewing machine or did you hand stitch it?

Love it. I would like to make a custom molle sheath for my Leatherman Surge that I have on the way, something that I can store the extra bits in along with a couple extra blades. thanks for the pics.

That looks great - really has a factory appearance.

You may want to consider some extra-curricular activity to support your knife habit!
