So, since I started forging I've been turning out blades that beg to be thrown. SO I decided to try this one out as a thrower.

I throw 'hawks out back and tried this one out for 50 test throws. it flies good, but I need to improve my knife technique - I sure stress tested it.

Forged 1084 steel almost a full 1/4 inch thick at the heel with a full distal taper, OAL is 8 5/8 inches, blade is 4 1/2. Balance is about the center of the index finger cutout. It's got a decent utility edge, too.

Whatcha guys think?

Thats a GREAT looking knife; I like it a lot.

If you've got one that needs a home, let me know.

this one is up on the fixed blades for sale, but there's enough interest I'm going to focus on making them for a bit (along with my other commitments, of course).

Time to get a website, I guess

it has a thrower look - nice design. I like it, though I think I'd liked it even more should it be 2'' longer, but, again, it's maybe only me. Nice job!

So where could one go to maybe purchase this blade?

PM or email sietchtabr at gmail dot com and hang loose, I've got a few days of forging and then finishing- seems I've got a pile to do so I'm putting them on the front burner.

Great looking knife. At first I thought it should have a pointier point but on further examination it looks perfect. It also looks like it could handle a hard impact better than a pointier design. Great work I hope to see more.
