Sorry, all I have is a link to an album. I need to find a better place to host images.

Click on knife #12 in the album

This is the best knife I have made so far, and it really feels good in my hand. It just needs my name etched on the blade and to be sharpened. Thanks for looking!

Thanks bruce, it is my best one yet!

I have learned a lot with every knife I've made. This time I actually took the knife to a mirror finish (pretty good one given my skills), and then took a synthetic steel wool pad to it (Scotchbrite, or something similar.) I like the more subdued finish it gives for an EDC fixed blade, and it can easily be touched up too.

It sure is nice to finish a knife! I think that the only knife feeling that can rival it is when you actually sell them! :)

I agree. When the man inspects it from every angle asks what the asking price is and then says....."I think I will take this one" Its a satisfying feeling of a job well done.

Thanks guys!!!

turkeyman, the steel is 440-C, flat ground and satin finished with a scotchbrite pad. I took it to a mirror finish and then put on the satin. it has a more... well... soft look to it now and the finish is easy to touch up.

OAL is 7.5 inches, with the cutting edge length of 3 inches. There is very simple filework on the spine to give purchase for a thumb, and to spiff it up a bit.

Handle material is green linen micarta nice and polished, and the magic knot cord is made by my girlfriend, wrapped in a channel that I cut into the handle and I coated it with superglue to keep it from getting dirty and such.

Thanks all for looking! WOHOO!! Knives kick ass!

They got their own flare to them...

And once again, thanks for your comments! They sure are making me feel great.

Normark: I have my own style? COOL! Not needing you for a sheathmaker? Well, I can make knives, and I even have quite a few leather working tools, but I don't make sheaths at all. There will ALWAYS be a need for you, Eric!

NGK: Plainly Elegant... I think I have a name for my "style" now! Thanks :)

Hey Cray...

Excellent..

Nice stuff..

Appreciate the comments...

Why don't you shoot one to me...

You took the words right out of my mouth and I couldn't have said it better. ;) I really like the simple uncluttered lines of the knife - they just flow so sweetly together. Crayola, keep up the good work!!

Hey Cray nice work, I'm starting out myself I have made 2 blades, a Letter Opener, and a Sheepsfoot straight blade, kinda like an Anso knife. I'm still collecting equipment, I have a forge, an anvil I'm working on a belt grinder, but have access to a small one at work.

Every one is a learning experience.:D

Just hope someday some one on the forums will look at one of mine and say, "Hey that's nice":)
