Is it legal to be mailed an auto through the mail? If not, what will they do, what will happen?

It depends,... are they considered to be illegal in your location ? (state/province,country)

If so, customs will confiscate it and you could be issued with a fine. Or even Federal Police officers may show up at your residence, with a warrant to search your property for other illegal weapons, which they will have permission to do on the basis of importing/recieving a prohibited weapon, due to intercepting your package. And if they do find more contraban at your house, it will all be due to 1 auto in the mail.

And if you are recieving the knife through the mail from an international source, you may be arrested and charged with importation of a prohibited weapon, and fined as well. Plus were talking large jail sentence, and a black mark on your record for the rest of your life.

However, if it is not illegal, than you will be fine. Although if it is, ask yourself "Is it really worth it?"

Ryan8;
Since this is a public forum, the idea would be to persuade people not to engage in any activity that is deemed "illegal", if in fact automatic knives are considered to be prohibited in Jesse44's location. In regards to your response, it is both bias and opionated.... enough said.

A switchblade can legally only be mailed to an authorized recepient. This would be a law enforcement agent or military personel with the proper paperwork, an authorized dealer, or the manufacturer.

I believe Federal law prohibits mailing or transporting switchblades across state lines. most states (I believe all but one or two) have passed laws prohibiting selling, owning and or carring switchblades.
the savest way to transport them is by doing it in pieces.
parts aren't illegel.

for some reason, this made me laugh :rolleyes:

What i don't understand is why the military is exempted, and yet as an military member, the ruls i must comply with are stricter than the laws of the state I am in. i.e. no balis or switchblades allowed on base at all,and no knives over 3 inches in the dorm and I'm pretty sure it's not just my base.
