Nothing too serious, just something to play around with in the backyard. So far I have whittled the bark off and may sand it down later before I attach the string.
Here are some pictures.

Hopefully I will finish it up in the next few days and post some more pictures.

You gonna put cams on that beast or leave it longbow?? ;)

If you can find out a way to put cams on it, sure I will give it a try :D. I snapped the last long bow I made from a smaller branch so hopefully this one will hold up a little better.

Survival Chive! :D

Ray :)

It's my urban survival knife.:D

Wow, that Chive is just eating that stick up!

How's the edge holding up?[/QUOTE]

I can get the edge to just before shaving sharp and after the whole branch it is noticeably duller, but still enough for my EDC needs.

Call Mathews and order a set from the Switch Back...that'll do the trick. ;)
:D

And while you're at it, put a zebra twist string on it. ;)

No Zebra twist string or cams, but I did finish it up today.

-Custom 25 pound mono-filament string
-7-8 inch draw length
-5 Pound pull

Here are some pictures with its first kill.

What do you use to Sharpen it?
I've done a little flat stone with it, but the curve is tough.

Sharpen the arrow? I just cut away a little with my Chive. For the bow I used some steel wool to get it smooth.

Oops, I think your talking about the Chive...

I have a hunter honer it works good as long as you use it right, takes some getting use to. I can take it from dull to just before shaving sharp in about 30 seconds.

Ya know it's " Man Law " to have your first kill with a new bow mounted
and hung on the wall.
:D

Now all you need is some fletching for your arrows and you'll get double the distance and 3x the accuracy!! :D
