Manix lockback does not scan the blade closed?

The lockback on the Manix does not suck the blade closed like most every other lockback I have handled. Is this normal, or perhaps mine is somehow different?

Also, the clip screws don't take much of a bite, and appear to only thread into the steel liners, is this also normal?
Seems like it would not take much to pull the clip off, if it happened to snag on something.

TIA

If the lockback doesn't suck the blade back in, it sounds like a defect to me. I saw a Chinook that acted like this, although a little less after break-in.

Not sure what you mean about the screws not biting, as they are supposed to go into the steel liners, and you said yours seem to do that. If yours went only into the G10, I could see how they would not be grabbing right.

I was a bit unclear in my first post.

My Maninx does draw the blade closed, and it does a proper job of keeping it closed, I think I just expected it to do it a bit snappier, because of how heavy duty the knife is overall.

For the most part I am very happy with it, although I do wish it was just a bit thicker.
