Manners

I lurked at that other place for months, and regestered at about the same time this forum came online. According to my own admittedly subjective observations, many of the folks that posted there post here now, and seem less interested in badmouthing each other and in digital posing than in talking about knives. Speaking for myself, that's why I'm here - I'm interested in knives, not personalities. Perhaps we need two additional forums (fora?): 'Criticism: Constructive' and 'Criticism: Other'. I'm a newcomer to this digital forum concept, but I submit that one should not post something that one would not be willing to say to anothers' face. Please, let's be grownups here.

Dave, thanks for the kinds words, we appreciate them.

Unfortunately, Mike and I both agree that a Criticism forum would do more harm than good. If you feel that you have to vent, take it to private email, or come on chat with us, where you can talk it out realtime.

This is not to say that you can't post criticisms on the forums here, but we would prefer that it would be constructive criticism.

I guess I need to learn how to use smileys. The crack about criticism forums was meant to be a joke. There has been more than enough pointless posturing at the 'other' place. Keep up the good work.
