OK, time for another not so bright question from a newbie.

I have been reading the FAQ and also found some of the old posts about the Kamis and their special marks. That's when I got lost and confused. It seems they use their mark for awhile and then change to a new mark or adopt someone else's mark. Is there a link or post that describes whose mark currently goes with a particular Kami?

The last HI khuk I received (20" Kobra and very nice) had a Nepali flag on it (at least I think that's what it was). Who was the Kami? Durba, Kesar, ??

Or does it really matter?

Hi SF! If you got the knife I think with in the last 2 months or so it is made by Kesar. Befor that Durba. Hope this helps and enjoy the knife!

Unless Pala got busted for being a terrorist somewhere along the way he should be back at work tomorrow. One of the projects he has scheduled is to convert marks to signature. Good luck, Pala! You'll need it.

So the 15" AK and the 18" Sirupati (both with rising suns) that I received this month were made by who? Is it Sher?

I wonder, reading this, if Pala puts in the new signature system, the blades will all start coming in with the "butterlamp" mark
