Hey Bladeforums!!

There is not a day goes by in my Corpus Christi Compound that I dont pause and reflect on my friend and knifemaking mentor Edmund Davidson,

Back in 1998 I read an article about Edmund in Tactical Knives while on assignment in Russia. When I returned I called Edmund and after about five minutes he said "What exactly do you want?? You want a knife?" I said "No, I want to come to your Goshen Va shop and I want you to teach me everything you have learned in your career as a full time maker." He laughed and told me "If your serious I will open my shop to you and teach you all I know but if you come up here and waist my time God Help You!!

I already had grinders and books but to really, really excell at this endeavor there is no substitute for "Learning at the Side of a Master"

Anyway, Edmund is my Hero and here is a picture of my All Time Favorite Edmund Davidson Integral.

I just love this knife!!!

KNIFE people are the best...period.

Mike, I love Edmund's work, but that is not my favorite piece.....I LOOOVE his straightforward interpretations of the Loveless designs...that is soooo pure, imo.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Yes, the Lovelss patterns are just incredible.

The really neat thing about Edmunds Loveless patterns is that Bob personally gave Edmund each of these designs.

He really takes the execution to a different level.

Yep, the "good people" is what initially got me interested in handmade knives and away from other collectibles. :)

This is a Davidson masterpiece IMO. I like the uniqueness of this design as compared to his Loveless inspired pieces.
