... I am kinda smitten by the Vic Solo Alox that my buddy just gave me. I mean, for a $15 knife, it's pretty nice! Slim, but feels substantial. The blade is a generous 2.5 inches and a clip point shape. The back spring is very secure, keeps the blade closed securely and it takes a good amount of force to get the blade moving closed. No 90 degree stop, but that's not a big deal. The handle is very nice, never had an Alox before. Very classy and contemporary looking. Grip feels secure.

I'm carrying this thing in my pocket constantly. I'm using to do whatever, because at $15 who cares if it gets beat up. What a really great knock around folder!

So am I being crazy?

Nothing wrong with having a small slim knife on hand. I'm sure you will find it's the most used knife you have before long. It took me some years till I got it but I now am happy with a small knife rather than a larger one. Your not crazy your evolving!!!!:D

Nup, Love my Alox farmer...changes the demeanour of the SAK's immediately.

Alox is addictive.

Will this be painful? :D

My SAK soldier goes everywhere. Small, thin, and does pretty much anything I need. Mostly used for opening beer bottles :)
