A good Christmas to all, and best wishes for the new year. May your collections grow, your blades stay sharp, and verdegris not visit your sheaths.
It has been a pleasurable year for me here on the forum, many new friends met, and wives P.O.'d, as it should be. Looking back, it seems but a short while since I found the forum, and thanks to the generosity of the members, both with their knowledge and time, my own knowledge and collection has grown in leaps and bounds. I value each member here as a special friend, even those who just pop in once with an odd question about an obscure knife. Quite a few, it seems, find the forum (and it's members) to be a pleasant diversion from everyday life, and like myself, keep coming back for more. Likewise, I take great pleasure in sharing what slim knowledge I have acquired with my own research into the fixed blades, hoping to pass on my own infliction to another generation before I shuffle off this mortal coil.
Here's hoping we all have a great new year, remembering the work and sacrifices of those who have come and gone before us, and passing on the legacy of appreciation for Imperial Schrade craftsmanship to the generation succeding us.
