Messermeister Meridian Elite: what steel?

If CRK chooses to sell Messermeister kitchen knives on their web page, that is a big vote of confidence for me.

I am curious as to what steel Messermeister uses on this line?

Messermeister use two or three different steels for the different ranges of knives that they make but the knives in the Elite range (that we carry on our website) are made from forged "No-stain X50 CrMo V 15". This is written on each blade and, in their literature, the material is described as "High carbon no-stain molybdenum vanadium tool steel".

Messermeister are good knives at good prices and the company is a delight to work with!
