metals used in 110's

I thought I'd spin off from the rivet thread instead of diluting it. I became curious about the NS/SS use in the 110's so I got out a magnet and a few various knives to check.

The first I checked was a custom shop with NS bolsters. I found strong magnetic attraction to the lock/rocker bar but none at all to the spacer. The spacer is supposed to be SS according to the specs so if it is, it must be from the 300 series of SS. So what is the lock/rocker bar made of, a different grade of SS?
I've checked the spacer on brass bolstered 110's and no attraction there either.

and yes, the spring holder at the back of the knife is 300 series stainless. The rocker is 410HC stainless, so it is magnetic.
