Aloha ALL,

Just wondering...what your take is one this lil' guy. I designed it as a tribute to my friend Fred Perrin. (Hope I haven't insulted him by it!)

God bless!

It's definitely got some of Perrin's style with the big single choil and wide, flat handle. At first the angle of the edge relative to the handle threw me off but seeing the picture in your hand indicates that it lines up well and should go wherever your thumb is pointing. Plus if you're trying to draw the blade through something and keep it flush against a surface that amount of offset should let you use a pencil style grip and keep your knuckles from hitting the surface.

Was there any thought of drilling out the tang to match up with the holes on the scales? Not like that knife needs to lose any weight, just wondering. ;)

As a right hander I'd like it if the chisel grind were on the other side.

All in all it looks pretty cool and I'm a sucker for little neckers.

I think its a great little blade, Chad!

Definitely see the Perrin influence. Might have to grab one of those!

Glad to see you posing again, bro!

I like it, but I think I'd prefer the blade line to be more parallel to the grip line, maybe even slightly below the grip line. It would help generate power on the cut.

It's on my "to buy" list as soon as it gets in stock at my dealer.
Looks to be a winner to me - small, light, sharp with very secure grip.

The blade angle looks a little funky to me. I was considering getting this knife anyway, but the chisel grind is an automatic no.

Great little necker. Looks very well designed. + 1 on the drilling out of the holes. I think that would add visual interest as well as a better tribute to Perrin with the La Griffe handle being skeletonized.

Aesthetically probably should either leave the G10 whole or drill out the tang / G10. Probably won't make much difference practically... the design locks into the hand by its shape.
