This is the first frame-lock folder Mike has made, and I am pleased to say he did a fantastic job. The action is very smooth and the tension on the lock-bar is excellent, the lock-up itself is as solid as I have seen. Along with the excellent fit and finish, that is the magic combination that makes a first rate frame-lock

I’d like to thank Mike for taking on this project, he seemed very pleased with how the knife turned out, as well he should be. I am looking forward to trying out S30V along with all the other aspects of the knife, and will be sure to keep you all informed with my further impressions.

Oh man, James! That is the best looking folder I've seen in awhile. Clean, smooth, simple and NO stinkin' HOLES!:barf: :) Congratulations to you and Mike on a VERY FINE knife!

Dammit, James! You just caused me to add another to my list of ever growing wants :D That is very nice. I'd love to get an integral lock from Mike one of these days. I bet he is doing excellent with those. Kit ought to be proud (or worried? :D )

Thanks guys, I just started cutting things with it and it is sharp and comfortable, a real handful with a smooth, wide blade.

Because I know someone will ask…

…I just know it.

I think you'd like the knife, Dex, and Mike said something about the Blade Show...

Now that knife has a handle shape that I find that I can get a very good hold of. It looks to have a great utility blade shape. A very nice solid looking folder.

Thanks for the photos, James. I talked to Mike a little while ago and he will have some of those beauties fs at Blade.

James, did you ask Mike to keep a clip off the knife? Your knife is basically the same size as his large #2--how does it carry without a clip?

Thanks,
Barry H

Barry, I did have Mike leave the clip off. It carries very well in a TAD-S1 Sheath, though I might just have to talk Gary out of retirement for this one and a Lochsa from SCK!

Marcus, I thought you might like this :)

I have a feeling that Mike might have to offer this as a regular model, I am hoping he considers doing frame-lock versions of his smaller models as well. This one needs a little buddy!

James,
I knew Mike was working on your knife several weeks ago. He intimated to me that he is planning on having a few for sale at the Blade Show--I thought he was going to have the two sizes.

I think I am going to have to make a "sacrifice" and order a large one!!
