Floyd, please see my response to the post you made in the custom forum.

We are saddened that you feel the need to leave the forum over this matter, however, if that is your wish, so be it.

You will always have a place to come back to should you so desire.

It is easy for us all to write emails to condemn or congratulate but at the end of the day none of us got off our backsides and set the forum up. Non of us shelled out the large amounts of money needed to set up and run it. We don't spend large amounts of time maintaining the site.
I am extemely grateful for what Mike and his team have done and are doing. We are all guests and should remember that.
Mike can do as he damn well pleases in his own 'house'. Nobody has to stay if they don't want to. Everyone that does should have the manners to abide by the house rules.

Folks,

IMO there's been enought said on this subject. I respect Les for his contributions , and I hope he will be generous enough to continue to share his thoughs with us; but, this issue has already been decided, action has already been taken, and the time for debate has passed.

Les, I don't have enough information on hand to make a call either way. But it would be a real plus if you could return to us in the role for which all agree you are ideally suited - as a highly respected and appreciated Bladeforums contributor.

Please see my post in the Custom Knife forum.

Sometimes you gotta make a call. Out of 3,500 plus members you can expect someone to not agree with your decision. That is fine. The advisory board made the reccomendation and I made the final decision.

As James will probably state "Trial by Internet is never a good idea".

Well said, indeed, mjjbecker! Let's all chill out, and get back to discussing knives, not people!

I heartily agree, enough hand-wringing has been done over this situation!

Let's get back to knives. Did the 7" inch blade test happen or not?

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of the tyrant; it is the creed of slaves.

William Pitt, 1783

Yep!

Like several of you said . . . Back to knives! Or, as somebody said over where this started, if you need to argue, argue over religion and politics!

This "Trial by Internet" ends the usual way . . . Mistrial!
