I am inquiring as to the following models;

- Spyderco Military Forum Model

- Spyderco Worker Commerative Model

How collectable are both of these models ?

I would appreciate some insight in to both of these items.

Both collectible. You likely can land a Com. Worker on Ebay within a month, but the Forums Military is a super tough find.

Razzierb;

Thanks for the tip!
I read your response, then quickly bid on the "Millie" with 25sec to go, and won.
I guess being 1 or 500, rather than 1200 is more collectable, that and the fact I have seen a few comm. worker's before on the 'bay, and no military forum's, but your response helped make the decision a little easier. :)
The worker will come another time I'm sure, and I do think it'll probably be easier to find then the Forum Military.

I saw for the first time a Com. Worker go for over 200$ on ebay some days ago... :)

Infamous,

Great job on snagging the Forums Millie. Just FYI, I've never heard of a Forums Millie with a number higher than 200, so you've indeed snagged a rare one.

Razz

I have heard that there were only around 100 or so made.

The one I just purchased is number #132, and it says 132 of 500 on the blade.

Does that not mean that 500 were made ?, or are these limited edition knives sometimes made in varying amounts to what is stated on the blade ?

I've also wanted to make sure about my CF,PE,LH Civillian #132V.
I've seen the figures stated at;

- 500 CF Civillians
- 250 Plain Edge (25 Left-Handed)
- 250 Serrated Edge (25 Left-Handed)

Is this correct ?... as that would mean mine is 1 of 25 in the world, which I thought it was ?

I'm still learning about Spyderco's.

yes indeed a left handed CF PE Civi was iirc only made in a batch of 25 pieces.

So indeed a one of 25

signed up for the new forumknife yet?

This one is paid upfront so looking at the fact that there are 135 replies, and the closing date is within 12 days the final forumite batch made could be less then 150 blades actually made.

Seems like a collectable to me!

So that's the next forum knife!
I saw it before, yet did not realise exactly what it was, as I only joined the forum a short while ago.
It's great that it is available to international members, although looking at the design, I'm not sure how Australian customs would react, due to the possibility of the unsharpened swedge being sharpened, therefore rendering it a double bladed knife. I have heard of this happening before, and it would suck to order one and have it confiscated.
That's 1 thing I love about Spyderco though, actually working with customers to produce a new model. :D

The numbers on all the other models should be right.
The only ones I know of that the numbers don't match up with are
Blue forum Native III,They were numbered X of 500 but while 500 were made not all got numbered.Same with the forum Spyderhawk.
The Military was supose to be 500 but the orders were not there and 500 did not get made.
