Sal, although I hold my Military in high regard, I am a bit perturbed by the uneven fit of the handle spacer and the G-10 scales. Why not produce these elements so they result in a flush fitting? A knife with an MSRP of almost $200 should be built with higher tolerances!

Ron,

You might want to ask instead about returning it for adjustment or whatever. I can assure you that the sample I have exhibits no such problem. It is a tight, slick, brute of a functional knife.

I agree Bob. My Mil is of the highest Quality and I've reported about it before. I regard the Mil as one of the best quality production knives I have ever seen or handled. Fit and finish on my new Mil is flawless.

Well my Military is probably the highest quality production folder I have as well! BUT, its handle spacer is not flush with the scales. This in no way affects the performance of the knife, it just looks sloppy. Do your Military folders actually have handle spacers that are flush with the G-10?

Ron - I've got three Militaries, one ATS-34 "first generation" and two current production models, and the spacers on all of these have a smooth fit. Ditto with those I've seen at shows.

I have to agree with the crowd, my Military (Thanks Savman!) is the best looking production folder I have handled. The scales are flush and neat. You must have got one that sneaked through QC. Call Spyderco!

I have one old version and one new version of the Military and I love them both. The new one has a slight gap in the liner and handle but in no way affects the function or beauty of this blade.
Until I bought the Military and put it to work, I was convinced that that kind of tool could only come from a custom maker. Boy was I wrong.
The only other knife I own which I value as much as this is my Sebenza. To me that says alot.
