Hi folks, I am fairly new to the knife world. I found that I bought lots of knives from different companies and always wound up giving them to friends...that is with the exception of my Emersons, Tops and Benchmades. I bought an Emerson Sark a while back. Black, combo-blade, rounded tip. The knife is marked "P-Sark", which is actually the marking of the POINTED version of this knife. I spoke to the folks at Emerson and they told me that some regular Sarks were accidently labeled as P-Sarks. So, my question is, should I use this knife as I had intended (I'm an EMT), or should I keep it in the box and hope a collector might be interested in it. Incidently, I have no idea how many knives were marked this way. Any input would help. Thanks.

i would go to the "other" emerson forum and ask around there, it very well may be worth a premium, not a large premium, but some to a collector, if i had something else to use i would leave this one in LNIB shape and do some research on it (ie how many were mismarked, are they selling for a premium, etc).

if ya dont know the other forums addy EM me and i'll send ya a link,

Great idea, thanks for the advice ! I'll poke around and check the other pages on the site. I'm going to keep it unused for know - I've get a couple of really nice benchmades for edc.
