Recently off the rare track i was awaken by a strange calling; a M-43i variant by Sher the Tiger: 18" OAL, 25.8oz popped up at my time zone from Javand and i was never into M-43 until this....(Falconer, i feel ya buddy but this is the best i can do.)

I scoured the olde vault of Himalayas and found these relics:

Then comes the real deal:

Karda and Chakmak crossing the arrival of 6th Queen Elizabeth's Own Gurkha Rifles (originally raised in 1817 as part of the army of the British East India Company)

The beginning of MKII most famous model and enter Angkhola.

The feel of the M-43I is very lively and balanced. At 25.8Oz it handles like a dream. The slim neck, curved spine with broad belly is always my fav. profile much like the Samsher. The ring on horn handle feels like a glove with substantial length for adjustment of grip.
Initially there was a very tiny crack on the horn handle (I’m not a big fan of horn) and I wanted to re-handle it with a local wood scale. Looking at such a nice pommel I figured epoxy will make my life a whole lot easier.

Dude, you gotta let me handle this :)

Rehandle in a block of synthetic material like g10.

Hey Jay,

That is sweet....

As far as the re-handle goes, if it were going to be a user then it would be great to do something like a G10 or micarta. But since this is a Sher M43i, that makes it rather valuable and completly irrreplaceable. Valuable because Sher is no longer making blades for HI and valuable because it is a one of a kind variant and we are unlikely to see such a work of art again. Plus if you really don't like the horn you can always mail it to Virginia where it would fine a nice home at the highly aclaimed M43 Rescue facility! :)

The M-43I would have earned a very high mileage circling the globe again!:D Pretty sure it will have a long stay at the rescue facility!

Very nice Jay! Please do a nice review with some good action photos;) It is relatively light for the length and should handle very well. I look forward to hearing more about your M-43i.

That is one Pretty blade! Looks really well done. I second the pics and Review. Hope HI makes some more of these.

you want to sell this to me, and these aren't the droids you are looking for.

Hi all,

This went to one of the forumites here. Lucky chap.
Possible to get the Tiger to do it again.
