Recently off the rare track i was awaken by a strange calling; a M-43i variant by Sher the Tiger: 18" OAL, 25.8oz popped up at my time zone from Javand and i was never into M-43 until this....(Falconer, i feel ya buddy but this is the best i can do.)
I scoured the olde vault of Himalayas and found these relics:
Then comes the real deal:
Karda and Chakmak crossing the arrival of 6th Queen Elizabeth's Own Gurkha Rifles (originally raised in 1817 as part of the army of the British East India Company)
The beginning of MKII most famous model and enter Angkhola.
Fuller galore!
S.B = Sher Bahadur ( Tiger's old mark before the U.B days)
Interesting Kaudi
Excellent forged-finished pommel plate!
The feel of the M-43I is very lively and balanced. At 25.8Oz it handles like a dream.The slim neck, curved spine with broad belly is always my fav. profile much like the Samsher. The ring on horn handle feels like a glove with substantial length for adjustment of grip.
Initially there was a very tiny crack on the horn handle (I’m not a big fan of horn) and I wanted to re-handle it with a local wood scale. Looking at such a nice pommel I figured epoxy will make my life a whole lot easier.
