mod for the ka bar sheath!!!!!

Love the knife but hate the way the sheath rides against the belt so i cut the ends off the sheath for starters and sanded the edges to make it even with the rest of the plastic. I then took the plastic part off ( remove the four screws) and started looking in my pile of junk for a clip.I had several useless holsters with them clips on them and tried everyone till i found the one that sat behind the plastic against the sheath fine without any over hang from the bottom.Once i found the right one i tighten the screws up with the clip installed between the plastic part and sheath and that was it.It wears better,rides better and can be put on and off faster then the original design and didnt cost me a cent but a hour of time.Now i like the sheath as much as i like the little booger of a knife for just carrying for a edc knife as a backup to my crkt rollock or spdyderco native i wear to work

It looks nice and clean. I forget this too, but a before picture would've been nice because I haven;t seen that sheath setup. Always good to hear about a modification to a factory knife or sheath! :thumbup:

thanks for the feedback.it sure makes a difference and the old version pic iam sorry for not posting but i can tell you it was a joke the way it rode on the belt!
