moderator status - rights in other forums

In the custom forum, Gus closed a thread and just as he was doing it I followed up with a post. I am not sure if I got the post in before he locked it or if the fact that I am a moderator allow me to bypass the lock. If it was the latter then I think this should be fixed. While multiple moderators in the same forum should be allowed to do this, I don't think it is reasonable across different forums.

The software treats locked threads like locked threads - no one can post to them. If you were able to post to it, then it got in before it was locked.

Past the locking point, the thread has to be reopened for anyone to post to it.
