Specs:

8.5" blade of 1/4" thick 5160 carbon steel, tempered to ~58 HRc
5.25" handle of Cocobolo with brass corby pins and lanyard

blade is 2.75" tall at the widest point
balance is 1.5" in front of the handle - great for chopping

Got it today after a bit of a weather delay with FedEx kept it from me over the weekend. Holy Smokes. I was thinking of giving it as a "house warming gift" to a good friend who's finally moving to the country and REALLY liked my S30V Nessmuk when he saw it.....

Yeah, I don't know if that's going to happen now. I LOVE it! Where can a fella get leather for one of these? Anybody got a Monster Nessie leather sheath they don't need - or are they similar enough from one to another for that to work?

There are some good leather guys on bladeforums - post around and see if anyone is interested. I have used several guys in the past - but all have faded away. :(
