Moore Maker that won't sharpen

When Camillus went belly-up i bought a Moore Maker (Camillus) Muskrat. I have almost given up on getting this knife sharp. Sharpmaker, diamond stones, oil stones and just now water stones. Still a freakin' butterknife.

The water stones are new and new to me but I just sharpened an old carbon butcher knife, two of my Boker traditionals and a stainless paring knife. I was even able to get an awesome edge on my stainless Sodbuster. The MM Muskrat reminds me of trying to sharpen a bayonet....

Note my MM (Queen) Whittler is very sharp (didn't come that way).

Anybody else ever run into this?

Mine is hard to sharpen. The factory edge was sharp but I thought I would smooth it out and it is hard.I used a 2 diffferent grit ceramic.I managed to get a convex shape, or Moran edge but I cant't get it sharp. A guy at work reccomended a strop. Anyone have good sharpening tequniques? A rougher oilstone works good but I hate to take too much meat off the blades.
